Welcome to Eternity Quay

“Eternity Quay” is in recognition of the street art of Arthur Stace.
(Please refer my Youtube video “Eternity Quay” and the images of the 2000 Millenium New Year’s Eve celebration.)

THE BENEFITS…

  • No massive changes/costs to railway infrastructure
  • Improved connection between Opera House and MCA
  • Working harbour still operates
  • Wharves can be redeveloped as restaurants/cafes/bars/ lookouts
  • Minimises the existing imposing nature of railway/Cahill Expressway
  • More open space makes transport access easier (ie unclogs the wharf access)
  • Creation of square will be a ‘thing of beauty’, something that proudly states Sydney to the world!

THE PROBLEM

Circular Quay is far too narrow to facilitate the number of people that pass through it. With the imminent construction of more large buildings nearby, the problem will get worse.

THE SOLUTION

Circular Quay is far too narrow to facilitate the number of people that pass through it. With the imminent construction of more large buildings nearby, the problem will get worse.

WHO AM I…?

My name is Dave Eyles, and I am a proud, born and raised, Sydneysider. Like everyone who lives in Sydney, I love the beauty of the harbour…but see an urgent need to improve Circular Quay. I am simply proposing that we give the Quay “some air” and create more open space. It is relatively cheap, engineering is not a problem, and the effects will be magnificent.
